About me

I am Maria, a project manager, facilitator, and agroecology advocate based in Spain – working across Europe in the space of regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems.I bring a quite unique skill set that combines management experience in international restaurant operations with hands-on expertise in the start-up and regenerative farming world.

Examples of my work

Projects & Experience

Coordinated the regenerative agriculture project with CrowdFarming - collection & evaluation of MRV data of 60 farmers across 4 countries, training of agronomists and process building.Successfully organised 10+ workshops and on-farm trainings in Spain, leading to increased engagement, contract closing and knowledge sharing among farmers.Supported the development of farmer-centric product and services (data collection, platform, marketing strategies,..) at Climate Farmers by bringing in actionable insights from farmers and agricultural realities.Created all farmer training resources, tutorials and communication materials in the Climate Farmers carbon credit programI led and executed several successful high-end restaurant openings and re-launches at companies such as St. Regis, Soho House and Harrods.

Why I am doing this

My Vision

Food has always been my passion. After a decade managing high-end restaurant operations around the world, I decided to take a full turn and to dedicate my career to the other side of the food chain.I completed a Master’s degree in Agroecology and Food Sovereignty, worked on several farms and projects allowing me to deep dive into the challenges and systemic issues of our food and farming system - both in theory and practice.After several years of working closely with European farmers, I am deeply committed to supporting them and organisations in their transition - using the principles of regeneration not only in farming, but also in gastronomy, tourism and entrepreneurship.
